Lorne Adrain
Lorne is a long-time Rhode Island Community Leader/Volunteer. Currently serving as Chair of the URI Foundation and on the Boards of Big Picture Learning, Business Innovation Factory and We Save Lives. Past service/ leadership includes serving as Chair of RI Special Olympics, Co-Founder of Social Venture Partners / Social Enterprise Greenhouse, Founder of National Neighborhood Day, Board member of RI Foundation, Genesis Center, President of URI Alumni Association, VP Harvard Business School Alumni Board, board member and volunteer for several other organizations. Lorne is a life insurance specialist focusing on uses of life insurance for high net worth, corporate and bank clients. Lorne is a graduate of University of Rhode Island (BS) and Harvard Business School (MBA)
Adam Blumenthal
Adam is an interactive media strategist, designer and producer since 1993 when he started his career at the prestigious, Kodak Center for Creative Imaging. He is the Virtual Reality Artist-in-Residence at Brown University, and Executive Producer at Curious Sense. Adam has been active with VR R&D since 1990. As a professional Adam has developed innovative digital experiences with dozens of the world’s best-known brands. For several years he was a leader at preeminent communications agencies, including R/GA, Burson-Marsteller, and McKinney. In 2008 Adam started Curious Sense, a digital product development studio that has worked with Hasbro, Mattel, National Geographic, Sundance, Warner Music, LiveNation, AstraZeneca, and the Grateful Dead, among others. Work produced under Adam’s leadership has won numerous awards for creative excellence and business effectiveness, and has been featured in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, USA Today, and others. Adam has been a speaker at SXSW and wrote an editorial column for Billboard magazine on digital innovation for the music industry.
Ted Bogosian
Ted is an Emmy-winning filmmaker and television producer who has been directing, producing and writing long-form documentaries since 1978 and collaborating with the Levinson/Fontana Company on network episodic drama and independent films since 1997. Ted and his programs have won top prizes everywhere from The National Press Club to the Chicago Film Festival to the Writer’s Guild of America, East. He is a longtime member of the Director’s Guild of America and a 30-year member of the Writer’s Guild of America, East. He serves on the board of Duke/Durham’s FullFrame documentary film festival. In 2012, Ted was appointed as Visiting Scholar in International Studies at Brown University’s Watson Institute. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Brown University whose curriculum includes VR and he was awarded the University’s 2016 Teaching with Technology Award.
Siu-Li Khoe
Siu-Li is a creative operations, service & supply chain executive, life long learner and seeker of inspiration. Siu-Li has spent days and lots of evenings with growing International start ups, 4-Sight L.C. (acquired), Yantra Corp. (acquired), MOO Inc. (growing), ShineOn (growing) and publicly traded Textron Inc. (TXT). Along the way, she’s found fulfillment improving and/or implementing robust Operations, Sourcing, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics and Service and Support organizations. She currently volunteers for Lemelson-MIT Program, RITES, FIrstWorks RI and The Gordon School. Siu-Li is a graduate from M.I.T.
Tom Sgouros
Tom is a computer scientist and public policy advisor, has worked for over 30 years in scientific computing, in oceanography, robotics, computer vision, acoustics, and graphics. Currently manager of the YURT Ultimate Reality Theatre, Brown University’s industry-leading immersive virtual reality environment. Has provided public policy advice and data analysis to candidates, lobby groups, businesses, and office-holders in several states. Senior Policy Advisor to Seth Magaziner, Rhode Island General Treasurer.
